Thanks to all who worked on making Come Home to Cradock 2007 one of the best ever! Admittedly there were some weather skeptics this year, but the day was a warm 77 degrees and sunny! The Boy Scout Troop 233 sold over 450 lbs of BBQ! The Class of '57, dominated the Homecoming parade with awesome classic cars and a float! The Class of '57 had estimated they had 153 turn out for their reunion! The Class of '53 also had a float. Sheriff Bill Watson, our Grand Marshal, rode in a bright yellow Mustang instead of his usual motorcycle.

The really good news is that those of you who could not make this event, (and those who did) will be able to order a professional DVD of the event! Mike Matovich, a Cradock grad, was on site with his crew covering the event. The "Come Home to Cradock 2007 Homecoming" is available on DVD or VHS video tape at $23.00 each (sales tax & shipping included). To order your DVD or VHS videotape call VIDEO ENGINEERING at 757-686-8497, cell 757-636-4886 or Fax 757-686-3420 or email mmatovich@earthlink.net or visit VIDEO ENGINEERING website  for details. When ordering, please make your check or money order payable to VIDEO ENGINEERING, 2 Paddle Court, Portsmouth, Virginia 23703. (Allow two-three weeks for delivery).

In addition to the DVD the committee agreed that it was time to put together another Directory with Harris Publishing. We had some concerns from our last directory that we have been able to clear up with them for this one. We are going to do our best to get the alumni the most accurate information available, but that requires you to help provide them with good information. Stacey Peters is our representative with Harris Publishing and you should be getting something in the mail or emailed soon. Our goal is to have an updated directory by October 08.

If you or if you have relatives that live in Portsmouth or the Hampton Roads area, please plan to attend the Chesapeake City Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Chesapeake Municipal Center to opposed the proposed ethanol plant at St. Julian's Creek. This is important to the future of Cradock! We need to pack the city council chambers! If you love Cradock, this is the time to show it! Attend this meeting.

Mark your calendars for next year, Saturday, October 18 (it's a Leap Year!) and remember, it MUST be 68 degrees and Sunny! The highlighted classes will be 38, 48, 58, 68, 78, & 88! Let's ALL Come Home to Cradock in 2008!
