Claude Brooks Rollins III, CHS-59 died on Flag Day, June 14th.

 

Aydlett, NC - Claude Brooks Rollins, III of 160 Elliott Lane, Aydlett, NC went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. He was born December 12, 1940 in Norfolk County, VA to the late Theron L. and Irma Bennett Rollins and was the husband of Norma Cousins Rollins.
 

Claude graduated from Cradock High School, where he also played football. Later he graduated from Old Dominion University, taught high school, retired after twenty-six years from the Naval Investigative Service as Deputy Regional Director of the Southeast Region, and clerk of court for the Virginia Beach General District Court. He held many positions at his beloved Sharon United Methodist Church, the most recent as Sunday School Teacher and Lay Leader.

 

In addition to his loving wife, Norma, he is survived by two sons, C. David Rollins and wife Katherine of Knightdale, NC and William M. Rollins of Suffolk, VA; granddaughters, Emily Grace Rollins and Mary Ann Rollins of Knightdale, NC; a brother, Paul B. Rollins and wife, Sonia; and niece, Nicole L. Rollins all of Jonesboro, GA. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven A. Rollins; grandson, Nicholas Claude Rollins; granddaughter, Sarah Brooks Rollins; and brother, Theron L. Rollins, Jr.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sharon United Methodist Church, 275 Poplar Branch Road, Poplar Branch, NC 27965.
