Chesapeake - Patricia A. Snell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 28, 1938 in Portsmouth, VA. She was the daughter of Virginia Dare Woodard and Joshua Samuel Woodard, Sr. and loving wife of Ellis "Bill" Snell, Jr. 

As a Majorette she led the band down High St. She graduated from Cradock High School, where she met the love of her life Bill and was married for 58 years. She was the Executive Secretary for Boyd Corp. and owner of Sugar Plum Dolls. She was a longtime member of Brent-lox Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and reading on Hatteras Island, and her happy place was on the back porch in the swing overlooking the Pamlico Sound. 

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Ellis E. Snell, Jr.; mother, Virginia Dare Woodard; Brother, Joshua S. Woodard, Jr. and his son Jason Samuel Woodard; son, Kevin Ellis Snell wife Dara Snell and their son Josh Snell; daughter, Cheryl S. Lepore husband Dr. Michael A. Lepore, Jr. and their children, Kristen and Michael Tyler Lepore; son, Timothy Samuel Snell wife Amanda B. Snell and their children, Samuel and Leah Snell.  

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 11 a.m. in the Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
