Fletcher – Graveside service for C. H. Heitz, 70, Fletcher, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fletcher Cemetery with members of the Masonic Pilot Lodge No. 367, Elgin, officiating.

Mr. Heitz died, Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at a Lawton hospital.

Arrangements are by Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.

He was born May 25, 1933, in Norfolk, VA., to Clarence H. Heitz and Eleanor Von Hankel Heitz. He grew up in Port Smith, VA., and traveled and lived other places while his father served in the U. S. Navy. They moved to California in 1951 and he graduated from high school there in 1952. He received his master’s degree in chemistry from JFK University in California, and a degree in nursing from Solano Community College in California. He became a registered nurse after passing his board exam. He married Mary Sue Blankenship on March 22, 1969, in Reno, Nev. They moved to Fletcher from Montana in 1998 shortly after the death of their son, Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Joyce Turner and her husband, Scott, Fletcher; a daughter-in-l;aw, Dolly Heitz, Edmond; a foster daughter, Marcie Cota, Camarillo, Calif., grandchildren; Jessica and Jed Turner, both of Fletcher; and Marshall and Terry Wayne Teter, both of Edmond; a brother, David Heitz, California, a sister-in-law, Avia Timberlake; and her husband, Jon, Fletcher.
