Suffolk - Yvonne Smith Curling, 58, of Suffolk, VA passed away May
31, 2013. She was born in Suffolk, VA to Edna Leggett Smith and Gene
E. Smith. She worked as a front desk clerk for the Destin Army Rec.
Center in Destin, FL. Yvonne is predeceased by her brother, Harvey
J. "Jimbo" Smith.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne is survived by her husband of 25
years, Sidney E. Curling; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa D.
Smith-Angelillo and Chris Angelillo, and Alissa M. Ellison and
Johnny Ellison; grandchildren, Jocelyn P. Adamic, Austin S. Ellison,
Logan R. and Gavin W. Angelillo; sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa
S. Richardson and Steve Richardson, and Dorothy Looney; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Thomas E. and Bonnie Smith, Joseph T. and Carrie
Smith, Steven D. and Michelle Smith; grandmother, Marian E. Smith;
and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Con S. and Carol E. Curling.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at
6 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA
23434. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers
memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 4416
Expressway Dr., Virginia Beach, VA 23452 or the American Diabetes
Association , 870 Greenbrier Cir., Greenbrier Tower II, Suite 494,
Chesapeake, VA 23320. Condolences may be registered online at

opened his arms and said, "Welcome to your heavenly home. I will now
carry you and there will be no more pain."
