Portsmouth - Shelton E. Mutter, Jr., 58, joined his parents in Heaven on Tuesday November 20, 2012. He was a native of Portsmouth and the son of the late Lou and Shelton Mutter, Sr. He was a Gas Instrumentation Engineer employed with Valtonics in Charleston, West Virginia. He had a great love for music and enjoyed playing guitar with family and friends.
"Bubba" is survived by his sister, Terri Mutter Johnson (Tom); brother, William M. Mutter (Gwen); 4 nieces, Amber Joy Mutter, Amanda Whitt Walton (Jeff), Ashley Whitt Sheppard (Brian) and Stephanie Mutter Green (James); 6 great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins and other devoted family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contribution to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice .
