Smithfield – Randy Beaver, 62, passed away January 8, 2016 as a result of a automobile accident on January 6, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents, Earl & Mildred Beaver; sister in law Flo Beaver and nephew Paige Beaver. Randy graduated from Cradock High School class of 1971 and was employed by Dominion Power. He remained active on many organized softball teams and later as his youth began to fade, he took up golf. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, the OBX and golf outings with his friends. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Lee Beaver; son Steve Rodriguez (Tammy); daughter Tracie Rodriguez ;four brothers, Michael Beaver (Tona), Roger Beaver (Bonnie), Toby Beaver (Debbie) and Dale Beaver (Carol); five grandchildren, Cory (Jennifer), McKenzie, Madison, Lauren, Connor and two great grandchildren, Nyle and Nevan. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Potter.
