Portsmouth - On Thursday morning, February 2, 2012, Rosa Lee Green peacefully entered eternal rest.

Rosa was born on September 16, 1952, in Norfolk, Va., to the late Spencer Lee and Gladys Louise Green. Rosa graduated from Cradock High School in 1970, and then moved to New York City to pursue her passion and natural talent for fashion design. Rosa worked for Ambassador Factors in New York City for 25 years.

Ms. Green is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Leanza Painson; brother, Edward Lee "Rico" Green (Valerie); sister, Paulette Green; grandson, Jameir Sakai Painson; nephew, Eric Green (Tyran); nieces, Keisha Picket; Keyona Green; Gladys Green; grandnephews, Koby and Kamal Reel; god-daughter, Katuraka M. Alston, and a host of cherished family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, at 11 a.m at the Corprew Funeral Home, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, VA. Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
