Chesapeake - Anna Spencer Smith, 65, of the 1500 block of Jolliff Rd. passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 in her residence. She was born on May 17, 1948 in Portsmouth to the late Craig and Kathryn Spencer. Anna was a real lady and woman of God, who loved being outdoors caring for her yard and garden.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Forrest B. Smith; her daughter, Crystal E. Barfoot and her husband Larry; two sons, Brian Smith and wife Robin and Jason Smith; and eight grandchildren, Heather, Austin, Kassidy, Abby, Jenna, Ashtin, Brianna and Leah.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family is meeting at Sturtevant Funeral Home today from 7 until 8 p.m.
