CHESAPEAKE - Nellie M. Oyenik, 60, of the 800 block of Clay Ave., passed away April 30, 2007.

She was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Dante, Va. She was predeceased by her father, Mack Harvey Murphy and brother, Freddie Eugene Murphy.

She is survived by her mother, Claire Mae Williams and her husband George C. Williams of Portsmouth; her husband of 38 years, John R. Oyenik; her son, Douglas R. Oyenik of Leonardtown, Md.; her daughter, Kimberly Mann and husband Ronald of Chesapeake; and four grandchildren, Sophia, Gannon, Joshua and Scottie. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Everett of Chesapeake and a brother, Bobby Murphy of Midlothian, Va. She leaves behind other extended family and many friends.

A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Ken Barnes officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum chapel.
