Connie Poulter Weadon, 55, of the 2700 block of Rockwood Road, passed away June 20, 2001, at her home.

 

She was born on April 29, 1946 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Henry C. Poulter and Josephine Rosalie Catanzaro Poulter. After graduating from UNCG with her master's degree in public relations, Connie was a social worker for the blind for 17 years. She was a member of the American Council for the Blind and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Connie loved cats, traveling and wrote poetry. She was also an avid reader.

 

Survivors include her husband, Steve Weadon; a son, Quentin Williams; a grandson, Spencer Williams, both of Greensboro; and a sister, Marlene Kuhl of Baltimore, Md.

 

A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Unitarian Universalist Church of Greensboro, 5603 Hilltop Road, where she was a member. Burial will be at Guilford Memorial Park prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hanes-Lineberry, 515 N. Elm St.
