Linda Miller Wood, 59, of the first block of Gillis Road, died Saturday, July 3, 2004 in her home. She was a native of Portsmouth and graduated from Cradock High School in 1963. Mrs. Wood worked at the Portsmouth Circuit Court and later retired from Bangel, Bangel and Bangel as a secretary.
Survivors include her husband, Robert T. Wood; her mother, Mary E. Miller of Roaring River, N.C.; one sister, Kimberly Harris and husband Marty of Ronda, N.C.; two brothers, Mike Miller of Roaring River and Kelly Miller of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother-in-law, Johnnie Wood of Chesapeake; two nieces, Michaela Miller and Brooklyn Miller; four nephews, John Wood, Kelly Wood, Jason Miller and Justin Miller; and a special friend, Peggy Williams. She was predeceased by a brother, Steve Miller.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
