Andrew James Johnston III, 56, died Dec. 25, 2000, in his residence.
He was a native of Jacksonville, Fla., and retired from Virginia Power. He was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church and Churchland Masonic Lodge No. 276.Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Johnston; a son, Andrew J. Johnston IV of Portsmouth; a sister, Sarah Rebecca Johnston Willhide of Hopewell, Va.; and a brother, John Thomas Johnston of Suffolk. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Meadowbrook Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Dunn. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Biltmore Baptist Church. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, is handling arrangements
