Robert Horace Gilmer Jr., 60, died April 6, 2003 in Suffolk. A native of Milwaukee, Wis., he was a member of Collinswood Baptist Church.

He is survived by a brother, Richard C. Gilmer of Maryland and a number of cousins.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Jack Stallings. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at 4015 County St., Portsmouth.
