Larry O. Marchbank, 27, In Vietnam Plane Crash

Virginia Beach - Larry Overton Marchbank, 27, a Navy aviation electronics technician first class of 208 Green Springs Court, Windsor Woods, died Monday at Da Nag, Vietnam, in the crash of a four-engine Navy electronics spy plane.

Twenty-two of the plane's crew were killed and nine injured when the plane exploded in flames as it was landing. Marchbank, who had eight years in the Navy, was stationed at Atsugi, Japan.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., he was a son of Richard Irvin Marchbank and the late Mrs. Gracie Ellen Marchbank. He lived in Tidewater most of his life.

He was a graduate of Cradock High School and a member of Cradock Presbyterian Church.

Besides his father, surviving are two brothers, Kenneth R. Marchbank and Mark C. Marchbank of Virginia Beach.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Simiele Funeral Home.
