CHESAPEAKE - Gwendolyn Carol Hayden Colonna, 66, of the 2800 block of Point Court, died Dec. 24, 2009 in a local hospital. Mrs. Colonna was born in Portsmouth and was the daughter of the late Dorothrine Brotsky. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk. She worked many years ago at the Nissan Parts Terminal in Portsmouth and the Surry Nuclear Plant. Mrs. Colonna is survived by her husband of 45 years, Henry Colonna of Chesapeake; her son, Henry T. Colonna III of Richmond; a sister, Donna Jean Winkler of Chesapeake; and her father, George F. Hayden of Chesapeake. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Rev. F. Scott Hennessy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 201 St. Paul's Blvd., Norfolk, or a charity of choice. H.D.
