Portsmouth - Olin Kithil Pettit, Jr., 74, of the 400 block of Concord Road, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in his residence. A native of Gaffney, SC, he retired from the meat department at Farm Fresh and also worked for Goodman's Barber Shop. Mr. Pettit was a member of Sweethaven Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Tatum Pettit; a daughter, Cindy P. Graham and husband Zane; a son, David O. Pettit and wife Diane; a brother, J. C. Pettit; six grandchildren, Chris, Justin, David Jr., Daniel, Michael and Heather; and a great-grandchild, Morgan. 

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 1, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Pastor Cary Borkert. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com
