NORFOLK - Dennis R. Hooks, 68, of Norfolk, passed away Aug. 17, 2009, in Newport News. A native of Wayne County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Leslie Hooks.

He was employed as a technician with Powers Business Machines Inc. He was a member of the American Legion Post 327.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Jerri Hooks; his mother, Mavis Hooks of Portsmouth; his favorite daughter, Kim Fallejo (Nouel) of Virginia Beach; six sons, Ron Hooks (Lisa) of Bristow, Va., David Hooks (Linda) of Virginia Beach, Joe Hooks (Susan) of Virginia Beach, Scott Hooks (Lisa) of Williamsburg, Dennis Hooks of Norfolk, and Bobby Hooks (Christie) of Woodbridge, Va.; his sister, Brenda O'Quinn (Al) of Portsmouth; his brother, Neil Hooks (Lorrie) of Henderson, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and dear friends, Joe and Joyce Killius of Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
