SHIRLEY ANN WAITE, CHESAPEAKE TEACHER

Shirley Ann Waite, 49, a retired teacher, died Sept. 19, 1991, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Miss Waite was born in Elizabeth City. She had retired from the Chesapeake School System and had taught English Literature. She taught at Deep Creek and Indian River High Schools. She was a graduate of Brigham Young University and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of Putnam Chapel Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Security, Colo. She is survived by a sister, Ellen Merlene Waite-Bell of Colorado Springs.

The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Old Hollywood Cemetery, Elizabeth City, by the Rev. James W. Cole Sr. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel in Portsmouth, is handling arrangements.
