PORTSMOUTH - Patricia Ann (Watson) Cannassa of the 5200 block of Clover Hill Drive passed away May 13, 2008, in her home after a year-long battle with cancer.
Born in Durham, N.C., to the late Floyd W. Watson and Nell P. Small, she retired as a property manager for Great Atlantic Realty. Patricia was very active as a volunteer for Maryview Bon Secours Cardiac Care Unit and the Mended Hearts Program with the American Heart Association.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alan C. Cannassa; a daughter, Terry Jacobs Lambert; two sons, Larry Jacobs and wife Flavia, Kelly Jacobs and wife Johna; two sisters, Fran Deeds and Eva Dicks; a brother, Floyd W. Watson Jr.; and seven grandchildren, Danny, Kendall, Harlee, Summer, Preston, Rachael and Levi.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Green Acres Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Walt Hunting. Entombment of her cremains will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, will be assisting the family with these arrangements.
