Charles Clifford Twine

Portsmouth - Charles Clifford Twine, 74, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA. He was born on April 8, 1940 in Portsmouth, VA; and retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 36 years of service. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, James Alfred Twine and Annie Rebecca Twine; a sister, Barbara Ann Smith; and three brothers, James, William and Johnny Twine.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara J. Twine; his daughter, Michelle Magee and her husband James; a granddaughter, Taylor Magee; and a grandson, Christopher Magee.

 A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, October 30, 2014 in Pinecrest Baptist Church by Rev. Tom Potter. The family will receive friends in the church social hall immediately following the service. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel is handling these arrangements.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Pinecrest Baptist Church, 209 Felton Rd., Portsmouth 23701.
