CHESAPEAKE- Bobby S. Edwards, 76, of the 4500 block of Leeward Drive, passed away on January 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Inez Edwards; sister, Estelle Fillmore; brother, Charles Edwards; and son, Douglas Lynn Edwards. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vivian; sister, Grace Fillmore; two sons, Jeffrey Scott Edwards (Wendy) and John Lewis Edwards (Laura); three grandsons, Jonathan Scott Edwards (Peyton), Andrew Douglas Edwards, and Alexander Corey Edwards; Jonathan’s mother, Sandra Kight (Wayne); and four granddogs, Sabrina, Denver, Haley and Benni. Bobby retired from National Linen Service with thirty-eight years of service. An avid golfer, he was a starter at The Links, City Park and enjoyed playing at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course. Bobby also enjoyed vacationing on the Outer Banks with family and friends. A viewing will be held on Sunday, Jan. 10, from 2-4 PM at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth, VA.
