 Eugene Claude Shelton, III Class of 1957 | The Virginian-Pilot, Friday, April 17, 1981 Ponte Vedra, Fla. – Eugene Claude Shelton III, 42, of 59 Dolphin Blvd., the husband of Mrs. Deloris Hill Shelton and a native of Portsmouth, VA., died Wednesday in a Jacksonville, Fla., hospital. He was a son of Mrs. Helen Carney Shelton of Portsmouth and an Air Force veteran. He was employed by the Electronic Technical Naval Sea Support Group. Other survivors include two daughters, Misses Kimberly Shelton of Ponte Vedra and Andrea Shelton of Norfolk; two sons, Anthony Shelton of Norfolk and Donnie Shelton of Ponte Vedra; and a sister, Mrs. Virginia S. Brinn of Williamsburg, VA. The body was sent to Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Portsmouth, where a funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Revs. Kenneth Whetzel and John Turner. Burial will be in Churchland Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and also at 3061 Tyre Neck Road, Chesapeake, VA. |
