 Garland Douglas Presson Class of 1957 | The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, May 7, 1981 Hilliard, Fla. – Garland Douglas Presson, 42, a former resident of Portsmouth, VA., died Wednesday in St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Jacksonville. He was born in Hopewell, VA., was the husband of Mrs. Barbara Hillard, and a son of Mr. And Mrs. Burton T. Presson Sr. of Portsmouth. He was branch supervisor of Public Works Department, Jacksonville Naval Air Station. He was a member of River Road Baptist Church. Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Whitney Howell of Hillard; a son, Douglas B. Presson of Jacksonville; three brothers, Burton T. Presson Jr. of Portsmouth, Wilbur C. Presson of Israel, and George R. Presson of Winston-Salem, N.C. A funeral will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in River Road Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Callahan Funeral Home, Callahan Fla., has charge. |
