 Marie Matthews Wall Davis Class of 1957 | Chesapeake - Marie Wall Davis, 71, of the 3500 block of Parr Lane went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2010. Born on November 19, 1938 in Tarboro, NC, she was preceded in death by her parents, Artilion and Evelyn Matthews; and her first husband, Joseph H. Wall. Marie was a bus driver for the city of Chesapeake for 23 years; and was a member of Moose Lodge #898, and Women of the Moose Chapter #966. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 39 years, Ronald E. Davis; two daughters, Robin Starling and husband Keith and Brenna "Buffy" Wetmore and husband Allen; three sons, Chris Wall and wife Sandy, Kip Wall and wife Kim; and Scott Wall and Fiancee' Sue; a brother, Charles Matthews and wife Faye; eight grandchildren, Joe, Steven, Ronne, Brooke, Karley, Carson, Megan, and Chrissy; a special niece Connie B. Allison; and a host of other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Pastor Kenny Bass. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 PM.
