PORTSMOUTH - Charles Robert Rose, 71, passed away Aug. 16, 2007, in a Portsmouth hospital. A native of Portsmouth, he was the son of the late Charles Antonio and Pauline Hudson Rose. He was the retired owner/operator of Rose's Auto Supply.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia R. Hill and husband Greg; a son, Nick Rose and wife Audrey; their mother, Marie Carson Rose, all of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Brad, Robbie and Crystal Rose; and a great-grandchild, Kinsley.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Eugene V. Primm. The family will receive friends in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m.
