HILLSBOROUGH: Doris Pryor Worley died at Duke University Saturday,
February 21, 2015. She was born in Dahlonega, GA, December 13, 1936
but spent most of her life in Virginia. She graduated from Cradock
High School in 1955 and spent her entire career working at various
federal government facilities and retired from the Naval Facilities
Engineering Command in 1991 with 35 years of service. She then moved
to Hillsborough, NC. Mrs. Worley was a member of Grace Independent
Baptist Church in Cedar Grove, NC. She was preceded in death by her
father, Frank W. Pryor, Sr., mother, Beulah Edmonds Pryor; two
brothers, William C. Pryor, and Frank W. Pryor, Jr.; and a sister,
Barbara Pryor McGahan.
She is survived by four nieces, Peggy Thatcher of Baltimore, MD,
Denise McGahan and Michele McGahan, both of Hillsborough, NC and
Kimberly Pryor of Chesapeake, VA; and a nephew, Roger Pryor, also of
Chesapeake, VA.
A graveside service will be held at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in
Suffolk, VA, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. The family
will receive friends at Clements Funeral Home in Durham Tuesday
evening from 4-6pm.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Melisa Longsdon
