Phyllis Sayre-Powell

Chesapeake – Phyllis Sayre Powell, 53, of the 2600 block of Powell Circle, died Feb. 23, 1990, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Powell, a native of Parsons, W. VA., was a member of Geneva Park Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Powell; two daughters, Vickie P. Waters of Suffolk and Rebecca P. Burnette of Chesapeake; two brothers, Willis A. Sayre Jr. and Harry S. Sayre, both of Portsmouth; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home by the Rev. Warren Chapman. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
