Portsmouth - MELVIN CORNELIUS OLSEN, age 77, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at his home in Manassas, VA.

He was born on December 30, 1935 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Ernest T. and Martha (Tyree) Olsen. Mr. Olsen was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked in finance and sales throughout his life. He retired as a Sales Manager from Koons in Manassas after 20 years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Yvonne C. Olsen of Manassas, VA; three sons: Eric Olsen of Falls Church, VA, Bryan Olsen of Prospect, OR and Mark Olsen of Wilmington, NC and one grandchild: Caleb Knight Olsen of Wilmington, NC.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 12, at 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3920 Airline Blvd., Chesapeake, VA.
