Annie Jeannette Martin Jones , 57, of the 1100 block of Sir Gawain Drive, died March 20, 1993, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Jones was born in Portsmouth. She was employed at Pin Boys working in child care. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Branch 40. She was a volunteer for the Chesapeake Boys Home, Chesapeake annual Jubilee and for Elderly Transportation.

Survivors include her husband, Franklin Jones ; a daughter, Carol Ann Sigma of Portsmouth; four sons, Ronald Garrett Jones of Chesapeake, Edward David Jones of Coral Springs, Fla., Eugene Paul Jones of Petersburg, Texas, and Michael Charles Jones of Norfolk; a sister, Eva Martin Cochran of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Damon Wyatt. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel.
