VIRGINIA BEACH - Bobby "Bob" Eldridge Hudson passed away March 11, 2006, in his residence. Bob was born in Shelby, N.C., and was the son of the late Avery Eugene Hudson and Evelyn Fanny Smith.
He graduated from Cradock High School, Class of 1954. He was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church. He was a self-employed business broker with Corporate Investments.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Don Hudson. Survivors include his wife, M. Sharon Hudson of Virginia Beach; four daughters, Barbara Yarborough of Virginia Beach, stepdaughters, Angel Grimes of Suffolk, Gail Mayhue of Blue Ridge, Va., and Dawn Lawton of Norfolk; his son, Bobby E. Hudson II and his wife Alice of Suffolk; stepson, Adam McCauley of West Virginia; three grandchildren, Bobby "Trey" Hudson III, Kara Hudson and Todd Yarborough; and six stepgrandchildren.
The family would like to thank London Bridge Baptist Church and friends for all their prayers and support and Heartland Hospice.
A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at London Bridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hdoliver.com.
