Merrie Hodges Bishop
WILLIAMSTON -- Merrie Hodges Bishop, 72, of 118 N. Haughton St., died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Martin General Hospital. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Bishop was born on December 25, 1935 in Covington, Virginia, to the late E.B. Hodges and Lelia Miller Hodges. She was a retired nurse, working with the Martin County Health Dept.
Survivors include husband, John M. Bishop of the home; sons, Jeb Bishop of Chicago, IL and Michael Bishop of Grimesland; daughter, Amy Bishop of Winterville.
