Chesapeake - Richard Terrell Dorn, 82, of the 1400 block of Boxwood Drive, Chesapeake, passed away Friday November 13, 2015. Mr. Dorn was retired from SUPSHIP Portsmouth, was a member of Alliance Church and a proud army veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents Terrell Haywood and Mary Elizabeth Steer Dorn Atkins; and a sister, Emma Jean Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Luella M. Dorn; six children, Terrell G. Dorn and wife Beth, Clay Smiley, Becky D. Ladiser and husband Shann, Debra Smiley, Guy Smiley and Richard T. Dorn Jr. and wife Mimi; a sister, Barbara Hoggard and husband Thomas; two brothers, Bobby Dorn and wife Margaret and Jimmy Dorn and wife Judy; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, November 17, at Alliance Church, By Rev. Doug Ellenburger. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel Monday from 7 to 8:30 P.M.
