Joan Bailey Stallings

SMITHFIELD - Joan Bailey Stallings, 81, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at home. She was the wife of the late Jerry Johnson Stallings. A native of Isle of Wight County, Joan was also a member of Smithfield Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Joan was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ronald Hilliard and a sister, Glenda Lamb. She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Jerry Dean Stallings (Sharon); daughters, Olivia S. Hilliard and Robin S. Morris (Doug); seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating Joan's life was held at 3:00pm, Sunday, September 11, 2016, in Colonial Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Donald Rhoton officiating. Family and friends gathered in the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:00pm before the service for visitation. Burial was in St. Luke's Memorial Park. Memorial donations can be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 97, Smithfield, VA 23431.

Service arrangements were in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, 14214 Carrollton Blvd, Carrollton, VA, 23314.
