In Memoriam

Fred "Muggins" Allen
Class of 1953

Classmates:

Many of you will not remember "Muggins" Allen, but those who do will remember him as a character from our childhood who will remain unforgettable. He lived on the corner of Gillis Road and Aylwin Road in Cradock Gardens during and after his high school years.

Fred was a few years older than most of the folks who receive this email. I am not certain of his Senior year...maybe 1952 or 1953. If anyone has stories about "Muggins", and there are many to be told. Please send them along to me. I will publish those or share them at the next meeting of the M&G Group on the first Thursday of each month, noon at Elizabeth Manor Club. He has been very ill for several years and his passing is a blessing.

He was a successful small business owner for many years and widely recognized in the local construction business as an expert Sheet Metal fabricator. He will be missed. BK
