Barbara Anne Spivey Lankford, CHS-52, died this week. She was the spouse of Donald Lankford, CHS-50 Chesapeake - Barbara Anne Spivey Lankford, 82, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016. She was born in Sanford, NC to the late Charles and Eunice Spivey. She graduated from Cradock High School and retired as a teacher's aide for over twenty years at Deep Creek Elementary. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald O. Lankford, Sr.; and her grandson, Justin England. She is survived by her daughter, Karen England and husband Rusty; a son, Donald O. Lankford, Jr. and wife Connie; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 3 P.M. Friday, July 29, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 8:30 P.M.
