Portsmouth – Barry Benjamin Bridgeman, 53, of the 100 block of Beazley Drive, a retired general utility person, died Jan. 18, 1988, in his home.

Mr. Bridgeman, a native of Hyde County, N.C., was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Bridgeman; a daughter, Debby J. Winn; a son, Barry B. Bridgeman Jr.; and a brother, Murray R. Bridgeman, all of Portsmouth; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. T. M. Frye. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
