Nichola Sam Cardamone, 70, of Mechanicsville, died April 24, 2004. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette; mother, Pearl; two daughters, Pamella Baum of Ontario, N.Y., Betty Smith of Richmond; one son, Nichola J. Cardamone of North Carolina; brother, Carmen; sister, Roseanne Leonard, both of Newport News; four grandchildren; four devoted stepchildren, Chris and Keith Henley, Robin Allen and Melanie DeVore; and seven stepgrandchildren. Mr. Cardamone retired from Hercules and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Remains rest at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., where the family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
