PORTSMOUTH - Betty Vance Wescott , 69, died Sept. 5, 2002 at Maryview Medical Center. Mrs. Wescott was born in Princeton, W.Va., to the late John F. and Mamie Bonham Vance. She was a homemaker, devoted mother and loving wife.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd L. Wescott Sr.; a daughter, Toni Horton Barlow of Chesapeake; a son, William T. Horton of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Shane Barlow Pilkington, Holly Barlow Shaffer, Nichole L. Barlow and Brittney Horton; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Twiford's Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake.
