Elizabeth Betty Huff-Preddy
Class of 1948

Chesapeake - Elizabeth Betty Huff Preedy, 85, passed away on January 14, 2017. She was born February 4, 1931 in Rainelle, WV, raised in Cradock, and was a 1948 graduate of Cradock High School. Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert D. Preedy, Jr. She was a Navy wife, champion Bingo player, thrift store shopper, mentor and caregiver to all. GOD blessed our family when he gave us such a wonderful woman to be our Mom.

Survivors include six children, Robert D. Preedy III (Roberta), Brenda Boone (Glenn), Cynthia Kaufmann (Gary), Mary Frazier (Willie), Michael Preedy (Tricia), and Deborah Collier (Doug); loving sisters, Mary E. Wright and Patricia Palmer; loving cousin, Kitty Sheffer; 12 grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews; and loving caregivers.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 PM in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by the Rev. Ken Rice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour before the service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
