SUFFOLK, VA -- David Traynham Forrest, Jr., 75, 2000 block of Palmer Court, Suffolk, VA died on Feb. 25, 2005 in Suffolk. He was a native of Hampton, VA. He spent part of his life in Portsmouth and some wonderful years in Raleigh, NC. He retired from Gordon Foods, Raleigh Dist. as General Sales Mgr. He was a Baptist. Former member of Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club in Portsmouth and North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh and also a member of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents David Traynham Forrest and Hazel Eppes Forrest; sister Billie Dove Chapman and her husband L. Wilson Chapman.

Surviving: spouse, Frances Anderton Forrest; brothers-in-law, William A. Anderton and wife Terry of Portsmouth, VA, Holland Anderton and wife Patricia of Florida; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral Home Sturtevant-Bennetts Creek Chapel.

The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Sunday from 2:004:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assn. or the American Lung Assn. of VA to benefit Emphysema Research.
