Mona Ray Morris-Sadler Class of 1947

Mona Ray Sadler, 77, of Goose Creek, SC, and formerly of Hertford, NC, died after a brief illness on the morning of February 21, 2008 at a hospital in North Charleston, SC. She was born on August 31, 1930 in Portsmouth, VA the daughter of the late Ray Morris and Kathleen Smith Morris Brennaman. She was a graduate of Cradock High School in Portsmouth, VA and was a longtime resident of Hertford, NC. Even after she moved away from Hertford, it held a very special place in her heart because of her many cherished friends. Mona loved to travel, enjoyed the theatre and singing in the choir at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Hertford, NC, where she was a member. Mona is survived by her mother, Kathleen S. Brennaman of Greensboro, NC; sons: Ray Monroe Murray and his wife Donna of Cape Coral, FL and their children, Jesse, Allyson and Christina and her son, Anthony; Robert Meredith Murray and his wife Laura of Greensboro, NC; and E.W. Sadler, III and his wife Anna of Goose Creek, SC and their son, Alberto. Graveside services at Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth, VA will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 11am. Arrangement by J.
