Billie Joyce Kennon-Seburn

Chesapeake - Billie Joyce Kennon Seburn, was born on Wednesday, February 12, 1930 and died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in a local hospital. A native of Ennis, TX, she was a retired secretary for St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. Billie Joyce was the Valedictorian of the Cradock High School Class of 1947. She married George E. Seburn, Jr. on Saturday, August 5, 1950 and they were married for 64 years and resided in the 1400 block of Sherbrooke Road.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cherilyn T. Seburn; a son, Donald E. Seburn; two grandchildren, Katrina Danielle Grubb and Stephanie Lynn Seburn; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard D. Seburn and a sister, Patricia Ann Rusch.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 6, in Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Kevin Wilson. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Sunday from 4-6 p.m
