Audrey Parker-Vick

Portsmouth - Audrey Parker Vick, 96, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. She was born in Gates Co., NC to the late John and Nola Parker. She was a graduate of Cradock High School, Class of 1935, a member of Nansemond River Baptist Church and formerly of Biltmore Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Lyle O. Vick, Sr.; a son, Lyle O. Vick, Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Leitner Vick.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lee Gibbs and husband Rusty; a sister, Mildred Harris and husband A.B.; a brother-in-law, Robert D. Vick and wife Iris; a sister-in-law, Betty Hoover; a grandson; and two great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Mayfair House for the exceptional care given to Audrey.

A funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, February 11, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by the Rev. T.M. Frye. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Edmarc Hospice for Children at 516 London St. Portsmouth, VA 23704.
