CHESAPEAKE - Rose Ann Grimes, 55, of the 2200 block of S. Military Highway, passed away March 28, 2008, in her home with her loving husband, Linwood H. Grimes Jr. and her animals, Dusty and Rosie, by her side. A native of Portsmouth, she was born Sept. 22, 1952, to the late Madeline Bancroft and Gramvell Otis Frost. A graduate of Cradock High School, she was a longtime employee of London Fog and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 30 years; a daughter, Ada Lynn Grimes and her fiance, Ricky Butler of Courtland, Va.; a son, Linwood Grimes III and his girlfriend Tina Byrum and their children, Robbie, Carmen and Mikayla, all of Chesapeake; a sister, Freda Lynn Richards and her husband Roy and two nephews, Ryan and Tyler, all of Newsoms, Va.; and a host of friends and family.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the home of Roy and Freda Richards, 26491 Ridley Road, Newsoms. Please share a memory with the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.com.
