YORKTOWN - Linda Fisher Rose was born February 21, 1945 in Portsmouth, Virginia and passed away on April 8, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

 

Linda was a graduate of Cradock High School and Old Dominion University. She was a gifted registered nurse, having received recognition as Virginia Public Health Nurse of the year. Caregiving was her passion and she was always ready and willing to help others. Linda was a faithful member and volunteer of Northside Christian Church. Her favorite hobbies included tennis, golf, travel, and the beach, but she cherished spending time with her family most of all.

 

Linda is survived by her daughters Robyn Rose Gatling and Crystal Rose Winfree, four grandchildren Kristyn and Corey Gatling and Lilianna and Violet Winfree, as well as close friends Linda and Mackenzie Barnett and Thomas Byrd. Linda's departure leaves a huge hole on earth but creates a bright spot in heaven.

 

A memorial service will be held at Northside Christian Church, 1300 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 1pm.
