Edward "Wayne" Bain, 64, of Winnsboro, TX, passed away suddenly on Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, while working with his friends. Mr. Bain was a native of Portsmouth, VA and was the husband of Linda G. Bain, and the son of Kathleen C. Bain of Portsmouth, VA and the late Edward Clinton Bain. He was a retired machinist with the Public Works Center at NOB for 31 years, and is presently the owner of Bain's Machine Shop in Winnsboro, TX. Surviving besides his wife and mother, are a daughter, Tammy Louise Conklin and her husband James of Chesapeake, VA; step-children whom he loved as his own, Anna Dean of Norfolk, VA, Jason M Jones of Virginia Beach, VA and Wallace Carson of Norfolk, VA; three grandchildren, Christopher G. VanOrden, Brandy L. Beam and Danielle Jones; two great grandchildren, Shawn Camron Beam and Alyssa Chevy Beam; and a sister, Peggy King of Portsmouth, VA. He was a loving husband, dad, and granddad who was a friend to all and always there to help. He will be missed by all who ever knew him. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel by Pastor Connie Shoemaker. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro, TX. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
