Virginia Beach - Pamela Ward, 69, passed peacefully in her home, Sunday March 24, 2013. She was a native of Gatesville, NC. Pamela began her career at the age of 18 as the owner of Portsmouth Employment Services. After selling her first business and raising three children, Pamela went on to manage several offices for Abacus Temporary Services and Aarow Temporaries.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Edward Charles Loux; her daughter, Sherry Friel and husband, Skip Friel; sons, William Donald Ward, Jr. and wife, Debra L. Ward, Dutchin Brian Ward; grandchildren, Nathaniel Friel, Brandy Thomson, Ashley Gallihugh, Samantha Crum and Brian Ward; great-grandchildren Kaitlynn Thomson, Avery Crum and Nolan Crum.
 
She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be remembered for her creativity, kindness and generosity.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday March 28, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by James Scott, L.U.T. The family will receive friends in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. and condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com. The family suggests memorial contribution be made to the American Cancer Society .
