Curtis Ray Allison, 74, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017. He was born in Danville, VA to the late Rush T. and Catherine Mills Allison. Curtis was a retired pipefitter and insulator for the Norfolk Naval Base and a past member of Bethany Baptist church, he was also an amateur clown, better known as “Cupcake” He was preceded in death by a brother, David T. Allison.

 

He survived by his wife, Joyce L. Allison; two daughters, Amy A. Parrish and husband John W. Parrish IV and Tammy L. Denmark and husband Michael V.; a brother Floyd Wayne Allison; a granddaughter, Cassidy Nicole Parrish; and a host of loving extended family and friends

.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by the Rev. Reggie Hester and Rev. Tom Potter. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
