 Jack Richard Allison Class of 1957 | Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 3, 1998 Jack Richard Allison, 58, of the 5500 block of Buckhorne Crescent, died Feb. 1, 1998, in a Portsmouth hospital. A native of Asheville, N.C., he was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Mr. Allison was a volunteer with the American Heart Association. He was the widower of Geraldine R. Allison. Survivors include two sons, Jack R. Allison II and Earl D. Allison, both of Suffolk; his mother, Allie K. Allison of Chesapeake; a sister, Elaine Tillman of Westchester, Pa. He was predeceased by his father, Jack H. Allison, and a brother, Earl W. Allison. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Meadowbrook Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Allen Dooley. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. |
